Controlled Release Society – Indian Chapter (CRSIC) recently concluded its flagship event 23rd International Symposium in Mumbai. The theme of the symposium was “Advances in Technology and Business Potential of New Drug Delivery Systems”. A total of 450 delegates from across the country participated in the symposium of whom 80% were from academia including students and faculty and 20% were from the pharma and allied industry.
Around 181 e-posters were presented over the two-day symposium as part of the Go Green Initiative. As a part of this drive, each invited speaker at the symposium was presented with a “Go Green Certificate” and a tree planted in honour of the speaker. The trees would be the epitome of the ever-lasting bond between the speakers and the CRSIC.
The symposium started with homage to Professor H. L. Bhalla, the founder president of CRSIC. Post welcome address, presidential address was given by the president of the local chapter Dr. Vandana Patravale.
