Controlled Release Society- Indian Chapter (CRSIC) recently conducted a national level workshop on the theme “Manufacturing, Characterization, and Clinical Applications of Monoclonal Antibodies” At this workshop, CRS IC initiated a “Go Green Drive to Save Planet” wherein, a tree would be planted on behalf of each speaker invited for any CRS IC event. 23rd October 2020, the auspicious day of Navratri was chosen to plant three trees on behalf of the three eminent speakers invited to the workshop.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Adulsa (Adathoda vasaka) are the two medicinal trees planted on behalf of Dr. Suneet Shukla, Senior Pharmacologist at US FDA, and Dr. Sachin Dubey, Deputy Director- Formulation & Analytical Development, Ichnos Sciences SA, Switzerland. Bahawa (Cassia fistula) popularly known as “Golden shower’ is planted on behalf of Dr. K. Rajeshwari, Founder and Managing Director, Bioklone Biotech Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, India. All three plants will be nurtured at SCES’s Indira College of Pharmacy, Pune as an eternal bond between CRSIC and the esteemed speakers.
