Report on the National Seminar on
“Leveraging Regulatory Pathway for Incremental Innovation with Supergenerics”
The One Day National Seminar on “Leveraging Regulatory Pathway for Incremental Innovation with Supergenerics” was held on Friday, 4th August 2023 at Smt. Geeta Israni Auditorium, Prin. K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai. It was organized by the Institutional Innovation Cell (IIC) of Prin. K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy in collaboration with the Indian Local Chapter of the Controlled Release Society (CRSIC). Professor Rajani Athawale was the coordinator for the event along with her team of Coordinators and students.
After the traditional inauguration of the seminar by lighting the lamp, Principal Dr. Urmila Joshi gave a welcome address. Dr. Parizad Elchidana, President of CRSIC and Principal Technical Consultant-Pharma, ACG Worldwide in her address expressed the goals and objectives of CRSIC. She highlighted the key activities of the Indian Chapter. Dr. Elchidana was the keynote speaker of the seminar. Her address entitled “The Power of Super Generics – Revolutionising Innovation.” enlightened the audience on the theme of the seminar and set the stage for the proceedings of the event.

All the sessions were highly informative and interesting. Each session was followed by Q&A which was highly interactive.
The seminar was attended by the executive committee members of CRSIC including Dr. Vandana Patravale-Vice President, Dr. Madhur Kulkarni-Secretary and Dr. Yogeshwar Bachhav-Treasurer. The delegates (about 80) comprised a mix of representatives of the industry as well as research organizations and academia, and students. The seminar received very good feedback regarding the content, hospitality, and organization.
